The goal of this project was to use the Dell Technologies machine learning system to test and study the impact microplastics are having on the environment in Antarctica.
Antarctica is home to one of the most wild environments on the planet. However, microplastics are reaching even the furthest stretches of the Earth. The Triage Creative team joined National Geographic Explorer, Mike Libecki, as well as a team of scientists to conduct advanced microplastic research. With the new data the team gathered we will be able to create solutions to battle the fight against plastic pollution.
The Triage Creative team set sail on the National Geographic Explorer strapped with high end VR and film cameras. With a light a compact setup, our team is able to move efficiently through the rugged harsh conditions of the Antarctic Peninsula.
Dive deeper into a behind the scenes look of our journey to the Antarctic Peninsula. You will get a up close view of the equipment we use to document this story as well as the Dell technology used to conduct the microplastic research.
