POST-PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY:

Triage Is Looking For A Post-Production Supervisor To Join Our Team. The Post-Production Supervisor Is Responsible For The Post Production Process, During Which Time It Is Imperative That He/She Maintains Clarity Of Information And Good Channels Of Communication Between The Producer, Editor, Supervising Sound Editor, And Any Additional Crew Involved In Various Stages Of The Edit. Although This Is Not A Creative Role, It Is Pivotal In Ensuring That The Post Production Budget Is Manageable And Achievable, And That All Deliverable Deadlines Are Met. The Post-Production Supervisor’s Role Can Be Stressful And Requires Ingenuity, Empathy, And The Ability To Make Tough Decisions Under Pressure, While Working Long Hours, To Tight Deadlines.

ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Minimum 3 years in the entertainment and advertising editorial business in a project management and/or client services leadership role
  • Highly proficient in all aspects of post-production: from estimation to scheduling through finishing
  • Ability to provide creative feedback and extremely organized
  • Excellent communication skills; excels in client services and team leadership
  • Calm presence within a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work long hours and weekend

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Liaise with clients from kickoff through delivery; lead status calls, respond timely to client communications, identify primary project goals and design a plan for successful execution
  • Demand quality, creativity and fun while still managing project resources and timelines
  • Work with post team to develop, evaluate, and present original concepts to internal Executive Team and clients
  • Review rough cuts prior to delivery to client to verify they adhere to client goals
  • Maintain database of short-term employees and independent contractors including but not limited to Post Producers, VFX artists, Editors, Assistant Editors; assist in identifying talent best suited to project
  • Motivate and support post team to ensure project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved
  • Identify primary project goals and design a plan for successful production execution
  • Deliver properly labeled files and materials to Lead Producer
  • Adhere to accounting processes and utilize invoice templates
  • Support Lead Producer in all aspects of post-production
